Caddie experience
I've been caddying at Trump International since it opened in 2012 while also on occasion caddying at neighbouring courses such as Cruden Bay & Royal Aberdeen.
What does Trump International Golf Links mean to you?
A job I absolutely love doing. The “office” doesn’t come any better.
Favourite hole?
Par 4 - 2nd from the “blue” tee. Visually stunning, from an elevated tee. Your tee shot needs to be straight as trouble awaits left and right. The length of your tee shot also has to be long enough to carry the rough but not too long to catch the burn that cuts across fairway. From here the golfer is left with a long second into a tight green. Wonderful hole.
Favourite caddie round?
36 h’cap American lady who playing with/against her husband, had the round of her life. An eagle 2 at the 6th being the highlight, but also loads of pars and bogeys. Had to “line her up” on EVERY shot. Hugs all round to finish!
Other memorable rounds?
Retired 4 star General in US Army - An absolute gent.
One bit of advice to visiting golfers?
Play off correct tees and don’t be too hard on yourself if not scoring well. The course is hard, fair, and truly fantastic.
To book a caddie at Trump International contact the caddie master. Due to the unique topography and challenging nature of the Championship Course demand for caddie services are extremely high so book early to avoid disappointment.
