The White Horse Inn
Summer holidays! Six weeks of kid fueled fun, what have you been up to?
We've had a jam packed month, firstly we said a fond farewell to Sonia and Paul our General Manager and Head Chef, we wish them all the best in all their future endeavors they will be greatly missed.
Have you met Jess? Jess is our new deputy manager and joined our amazing team this month.
"Hey everyone I'm Jess, I'm a month into my new position as Deputy Manager at the White Horse Inn and I'm really loving it so far. I have been in hospitality for over nine years now and I think it's the career for me because i genuinely care about every guest that walks through our door. after a year in Scotland and working in places such as Frankie and Benny's and the Marcliffe hotel in Aberdeen, I really believe the White Horse is the right place for me. I'm looking forward to delivering a great dining experience to all our future guests with the support of a fabulous team."
We had a fantastic T in the Park competition on, thank you to all who entered and congratulations to the winners Calum Brown and Hugh Harvey, we hope you had a amazing time.
This month was all about our charity event 'Sizzle and Shine' co-hosted with OCD valeting and detailing. what a turn out there was, did you come and get your car washed? In total Chris, his wife Paula ad there two friends Mark and Brian washed 38 cars! the whole day was a fantastic success, they raised £522 for their efforts and the sun stayed out too!
It's not too late to donate, we have collection boxes situated in the reception area so please pop in a small donation when you next visit, all donations are being raised for CLAN house, cancer support services.
Did you enjoy the BBQ? let us know your thoughts, should we make this a more frequent event?
If you are planning an event why not come and visit our function facility and see what we can do for you.
A little bit of news regarding the AWPR, the average speed cameras are now up and running, don't get caught out! the Egie road junction is now closed so the only access to the village is via the north entrance, there are traffic lights in operation in both directions during peak times to assist with traffic flow and this can cause slight delays. And lastly there will be a 50 mph speed limit in place from the Murcar roundabout right the way through to Ellon.
But don't let that put you off visiting our lovely village, take your time, come past for a bite and a refreshment before you set off again. Remember we are child and dog friendly, we offer dogs bowl and doggy biscuits, a lovely children's menu and a play park outside for the little ones - no need for a stressful journey!
We are so excited to announce our ladies night taking place on Friday the 26th of August. There will be a Stella & Dot fashion show, a live auction - chores for charity (that should be interesting) and finally a DJ to finish off the night.
Kick off those converse after six weeks of entertaining the kids, its now time to put on your heels and celebrate the start of the new school year and some well and truly over due you time!
